The Glass Intact
Mud Records

Inside the jacket of The Glass Intact, under the copyright information is the phrase: "put a song on a mix tape!". Indeed, a friend of mine heeded these wise words and subsequently introduced me to my favorite band and album of 1998. It's power-pop punk with heavy, expert guitars and female angst vocals disguised by Elmore's baby-doll voice. Put simply, I can't get enough of it. I bought the CD last April, and 10 months later it's still the first thing I reach for when I'm picking out a CD to listen to. Every song is an addictive entity and fills an unexplained gap in my soul. I can't wait for more. Kudos: Lyrics that should be quoted and dispensed like good advice to the twenty-somethings of the world.
