Garbage ... Version 2.0
Almo Sounds
I tried for so long to resist this band, but I can resist no longer. From Manson's preliminary purrs in "Temptation Waits" I am hooked and stay that way long after the ticking fades at the end of "You Look So Fine". And everything in between weaves an intricate web of energy and cleansing that seemingly dares your heart not to keep its beat. By far the most geniusly produced album on this list. Even the song order maintains a viscous kinetic energy that pulls the whole thing together under a masterpiece kind of light. Kudos: "When I Grow Up" is every song that's ever sparked my deepest enthusiasm combined. Perfection.
