Working at the bookstore forces me to adhere to the boundaries of a glorious present. Gone are the looming deadlines and long-range goals; they've been replaced with the immediacy of contact, communication, and good deeds. Showing up for work locks me into 9 hours that can't be spent worrying about the future or swimming in guilt. The time spent there rings with true freedom to live in the moment... to smile more, let go, and sink into bliss.
