It was, of sorts, the literary tour of Palm Springs.
I bought a bag of marshmallows at the Vons supermarket on the corner of Sunset and Tahquitz. I strolled past tiny, rented bungalows surrounding kidney shaped pools. I looked for silver dollars burried in thick, lush lawns, glinting brightly in the noon sun. And I motored to West Palm Springs Village and parked at the corner of Cottonwood and Sapphire, thinking up bedtime stories and wishing I had a Dag, Claire, and Andy with which to share them.
