chocolate factory ladders...
Tomorrow I'm spending half of my workday in our Brookline store to
get a feel for how the other half lives. Michael said that if I'm good, maybe they'll let me roll
down the aisles on their non-OSHA ladders.
best lines from Laine's last email...
"'Well,' he says, 'actually, I work for that magazine on your lap.' Hit the Pause Button, people!
Did he say what I think he said? I am sitting next to a guy who looks to be approximately my age
and he is a sportswriter for Sports Illustrated? My airplane karma has just hit the jackpot."
cube in a box...
My half of the cube is all boxed up and sitting in the middle of my kitchen. Todd had to say so long
to the pokemon airplane and the superhero pez dispensers complete with capes and the marshmallow bunnies.
But in return he got to keep the 17,598 binders that sat in the corner of our desks. We took some video
footage of everything yesterday while it was still intact... which should last approximately 4.6 days
until Todd tapes over it.
in my comment field...
WAIT A MINUTE... I don't have a comment field anymore. This will
require some thought.
overwhelming...
I think it was to Tammy that I said, "quit your job = stroke your ego" I've been inundated
with so many well wishes and sweet words. My mailbox is crammed full of notes that will take me
a while to answer. February was anything but typical... and right now I'm feeling so far from
normal. Sincerest thanks to everyone for sending so much good karma my way.
in need of a soundtrack...
I hit the road in just ten days: cross country Boston to L.A. and back. So of course I need some driving
music. Please send along your ideas for ultimate road music. Bright, sunshine pop and mellow, clangy, dessert
tunes. I'm in need of suggestions.
