Today's flights were just so... electronic. There is no paper on airplanes anymore... we don't read books or magazines but instead bury ourselves in laptops with emails and reports trapping vaporous ideas. Those who aren't plugged in are networking. Tonight's flight from Chicago to Boston was filled with talk of bandwidth and personalized marketing and IPOs. American Airlines should just remove the seats, install a velcro wall and launch pad, and serve garlic mashed potatoes in martini glasses and we'd all be inside one of those elaunch parties I read about this morning in USA Today.
