I just couldn't help staring at the clouds today on the drive up to Maine. It reminded me that I used to be able to make weather maps when I was a kid. We must have learned it in science class and like most random things in my life, it became a short-lived obsession. I used to painstakingly draw the scalloped cold fronts and accurately mark the high pressure systems... and then hang them on the freezer in our basement in order to "do" the weather.
What a curiously strange child I was.
