Yesterday I worked 8 hours, went out to dinner and ice cream with friends and then out for drinks with other friends, restored my deleted address book, made three lengthy telephone calls, ironed one shirt and one pair of pants, made my bed, vacuumed my apartment, watered my plants, wrote for a while, and read a few more chapters of Democracy in America.
I forgot what it was like to be busy. I feel invigorated.
