When I was in sixth grade, I used to comb my hair and put on nice clothes before calling Mike Mikuta on the telephone. I had this irrational fear of miniature cameras planted in my bedroom, broadcasting my image to a large telescreen in his house, like the one in 2001.
Today, I'm interviewing for a job over the telephone with severe bed-head while wearing pajamas. It's good to know that there are some fears you can outgrow.
