Don't get me wrong... I like the moon. But it always has to hang around on a clear night when I find myself miles away from the usual city light pollution. I risked life and limb to climb out onto the rocks after midnight, and hardly a star was visible due to lunar surface sunlight reflection.
So instead I watched the mosquitoes and moths fly overhead and pretended that they were the shooting stars I wanted so much to see. And when I got bored with that, I stumbled back to the guest house to read Isak Dinesen and dream of Robert Redford's brutal honesty.
