something to roar about...

Reading the Times this morning finally made me understand why breaking Microsoft® up into separate companies according to product groups will actually work in favor of anti-trust: simply put, the only company out there able to compete with Microsoft®, is Microsoft®. A point made abundantly clear about four hours later when Todd and I were crashing and burning in our attempt to convert clean IE-compatible HTML code into something Micky-Moused and horrifying, so that it would work in Netscape®, too. Suddenly web standards seem like something to storm the castle about.
