Ron and I were watching American Beauty and during the scene when the boy and girl are in his room watching the plastic bag video, Ron said "Remember what it felt like the first time you held someone's hand? How incredible that was? All the electricity? Did you ever think it could feel like that?"

And I got sad thinking about the happy memories I have lost and the bad ones I can recall on a moments notice. Why does life have to play such a funny trick on you? I have been trying to reclaim my happy memories. Ron says, "What if once you die all you have left are the memories?" I could go on for all eternity only remembering the bad times.

So, I look back over my life and remember sleeping in while my friends delivered hot chocolate in the freezing cold rain. And I laugh.
