Yesterday LA Michael told me that he and Jolene would be vacationing in Florida
this fall. Five days at Disney alone.
And I'm thinking, you know, I drove across the entire state of Texas, from Sherman to
El Paso, in about 19 hours. What are they going to do for five whole days in a theme park?
But when I mention this, he begins to list off the 7,573 different parks that are associated with Disney
in Florida. So I ask him if he thinks Disney, like DC, will be rallying for statehood anytime soon.
And then I start getting excited. I mean, if we pull all the territories and districts and theme park
conglomerates together and make them states, we may get to a nice even number so that we don't completely screw
up the stars on the flag.
Because when you think about it, is there any good reason why we can't just make DC a state other than the fact
it's going to screw up the flag? I mean, we have a larger population than Wyoming and yet no Congressional representation.
Sometimes symmetry sucks.
