LA Michael told me that he and Jolene went to the new Disneyland-related California theme park this past weekend. What the hell? Is California really the best place for a theme park about California? Isn't it a bit, I don't know, redundant?   more talk about theme parks... Then I mentioned to Michael that with the success of reality-based television, they should create a reality-based theme park by just putting up a big fancy gate and making people pay a hefty admission to get inside, which is exactly like outside.   Michael thought that sounded like a 'Coupland' moment.   back at now... After I left the hotel, I drove over to Now Music and Fashion to browse and listen and I ended up engaged in a conversation with a pop-sensible owner-type who filled me in on the labels and insiders of the DC music scene. It was... unexpected.
