I don't even think I signed it. Just slid it into a plain white envelope, scribbled his address, and set it out for the postman to pick up tomorrow.
 
I remember spending days laboring over the perfect letter to him. The mobile, the puzzles. True artistically epistolary masterpieces. Now it's two tiny sheets of white paper, not more than 5 short paragraphs, written two months ago and seemingly discarded. Haphazard and fleeting.
