3 pounds of steak, enough chinese food to feed an army, steel-cut oatmeal,
and japanese koala cookies - NYC is always a wonderful eating experience

friends who pull you out of the way of steamrolling Toyota trucks in Chinatown;
3am post party conversations about favorite childhood books;
cookie valets;
giving away 5,000 years of tradition in one simple dradle lesson;
orange brunches;
last minute ginger ales;

F&B pomme frittes;
deleting non-flattering pictures from the digital camera;

Laine and I saw Harry Potter late Friday night. But I have to
say that, for me, the most entertaining part was the pre-show lap dance Laine received
from an uncoordinated passerby.
|
We took some very adorable pictures under the huge red, white, and blue
tree among the 3 squillion+ people out at Rockefeller Center on Sunday. If Laine has some extra
time in front of her computer this week, they may be available soon for sharing.
|
Standing on the corner of 8th Avenue and 50th Street, I looked up in every
direction, paused, and said, "There really is no other city." And it's true. NYC perfectly
defines the word city to the point where everywhere else is just a place.
