Haruki Murakami's
The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle
So finally, on page 215,
it all starts to fall into place. Maybe there's hope for this after all.

wishes and dreams...
Every time I get an email from Allison, I wish I could be fifteen again with
her head on my shoulders. How can someone so young be so on top of it and together. She makes
me so proud and feel so lucky that I know her.
freebies...
One of the best things about the bookstore is the free gifts... like the magical Mazy
pen/bubble blowing wand that Michael bestowed upon me last night. It even has
a rope so that you can hang it around your neck for instant access to soap bubble kisses. Wait 'till Todd sees this.

sheets of snow...
When I woke up this morning, I just thought it was snowing. I didn't realize it was
blizzarding. The snow is swooshing around today in big, thick sheets. This definitely calls
for a hot mug of tea.
for your consideration...
I received my first batch of SAG videos from LA Michael yesterday. Flawless,
Map of the World, Mansfield Park, All About My Mother,
Bowfinger, Cider House Rules, Felicia's Journey. I think the coolest
thing about them (other than the fact that they are labeled "Academy Screening Video") is
the fact that they don't have 20 minutes of dumb previews and advertisements tacked onto the
beginning of them. You just pop in the tape and go. Service! It also makes me feel important
when every so often the words, "For your consideration..." pop up on the screen. B-ding, B-ding
B-ding... Michael wins!
bottleneck...
The redesign of whirlygirl is nearly complete... save for Todd's creative navigational input. I'll
give him a break today because he's all fluey and sick... but I did inform him that I won't tolerate a
a bottleneck. Such the slave-driver.
