a five minute spin...

I am minutes away from a bath-- and dawdling here in front of my laptop for no apparent reason. I'm too bouncy and jittery for a real post-- too much Earl Grey iced tea, too little warmth in these particular pajamas-- but I got whirlygirl in my head and thought I'd spin out a short entry, just to kick off the month.

The weekend was too short, filled with talk-talk-talk with Michael about their new Upper West Side address, newspapers past and newspapers present, college football with OSU alums, and way too much editing. But tomorrow is saved by Pedro the Lion at The Black Cat and Wednesday is dinner with Denise (finally!). And then that weekend reprieve-- surely to be here before I know it.

Here's hoping, anyway.

I love getting lost in long, winding Irving prose.

free-for-all...
Howard told me he stole my favorite #999966 khaki for his web design portfolio-- and it made me feel big and important, as if I'd invented the color. How fun would that be-- not to invent the name of a color, but a whole new color? I think a big, stretched canvas and some paint is in order here.
