My lunch salad was bigger than my Russell Wright salad plate, there is a Five Guys opening
seven blocks from our apartment, and I have a secret that I've sworn not to share. In other words, my mind
is buzzing with a week's worth of buzz-worthy items.
There were drinks and dinner with Matt, Denise, and Laine on Tuesday (who knew Tuesdays could get so late...
or so verbal). Wednesday brought incredibly good, secret news that made me squeal in the same high-pitched tones
usually reserved for puppies or kitties or an advertisement for that new Two Brothers movie with
hyperventilatingly-cute lion cubs (more KITTIES). Yesterday I fell in HATE with the prescription coverage branch of
my health insurance company, I ate WAY too many nuts, and then we climbed into bed at 9:06pm, like we hadn't done
since we were eight. And then today, I was more productive than I have been all week, B took the bus to Georgetown
and discovered the pending Five Guys installment, some members of my family went to a Kerry rally at my old high
school gymnasium in "down-and-out" Stark County, Ohio [says CNN], and I had the most amazing
spinach-pear-cranberry-pistachio-blue cheese salad for lunch.
So not exactly news-worthy, especially the salad part. But I'm going to pretend it's buzz-worthy. At least until
I have more time to get my buzz-on and write about it. |
