B sent me a link just now to an online pamphlet about blog depression. Sums it up nicely I think. Except that when I do "take a break... have some donuts [and] chill", as the pamphlet suggests, I get threatening messages from Todd saying that I should just go ahead and rename the site to www.cobwebs.com. Maybe Todd needs the pamphlet.

This one's for you, bub.

Scene: B is standing in the living room, eating a bowl of Fruity Pebbles, emitting no other sounds other than the typical crunch-crunch-crunch. Suddenly-- mid-crunch and very nearly imperceptibly-- he dips and glides his head slightly to the left, like a comic dance move. The first thing that comes to my mind and out of my mouth? "Do you have a Jamiroquai song running through your head?"

... and of course, HE DID!

B and I have those "jinx" moments all of the time when we randomly say the exact same thing at the exact same time. It's freaky, but I think expected when you spend nearly all of your time together. But this morning topped them all.

Jamiroquai. Random. Virtual insanity, even.

I actually updated whirlygirl while laying in our bed on Saturday morning-- sun streaming through the windows, Madeleine Peyroux on iTunes--noting that life was settling into a comfortable bliss. But I got distracted by blinds and boxes and chicken tortilla soup and never posted the entry. Loser.

Sometimes it feels like a long silence must be met with something profound. The only thing close to profound that I said today was during a conversation with Todd about how B has 165 gallons worth of Star Wars collectable action figures that need a storage unit home-- and we decided that the funniest possible way to measure action figures was in gallons.

Profound-- not so much. But it did manage to break the silence. Mission accomplished.
