Breaking all whirlyrules, it seems I need to be a bit more explicit.

The usual cloak of vagueness is causing my mailbox to flood with questions. And for reasons that are not entirely clear to me, Todd's too. It's time to come clean.

Last Friday I finally talked to my boss at Lois about the possibility of moving to DC to start up our forthcoming regional office. Saying that it went according to plan is an understatement... it was splendid.

If all sits well with the gods of apartment hunting, I'll be moving on January 1, 2001. Talk about clean slates and new leaves. Because Lois is new to the regional consultanting thing, we have no regional offices. It's not out the question for the future, but for now, my commute time will be about the 7.2 seconds it will take to get from my bed to my laptop. Ahhh... the virtues of a home office.

I've already started picking Brian's brain about all things DC real estate. And Laine and I are road tripping in under 3 weeks to begin the hunt.

It's so real at this point that I can taste the one million little details that need to be settled in the next 76 days. Good thing I do some of my best work under pressure.

Friday the 13th. A full moon. Dearest Wish Come True.

Soon I'll be sending postcards from Washington D.C. 01.01.2001. It's finally official.

What are you counting down to?

Tuesday is quickly becoming one of my favorite days of the week.

My afternoon meeting with a downtown Boston client sets me free by 4:00pm... and just fifteen minutes later I'm basking in the afternoon sunshine that pours through the front window of my very own apartment.

Sipping an afternoon cup of vanilla maple tea.

Updating a much-neglected whirlygirl.

And preparing to meet Jeffrey for dinner. Same Chianti time. Same Chianti place.

All on a Tuesday.

Who would have guessed?
